Anyone interested in the preservation of Contra Costa County history is invited to apply for membership. While many Society members are also affiliated with local historical groups, such membership is not a prerequisite for joining the County Historical Society.
As of October, 2018, all online membership applications are processed through our online bookstore. Clicking on the dues amount link for the desired level of membership will take you to the appropriate bookstore entry. In the "Instructions to Merchant" field of your Paypal checkout, be sure to include your name, address and e-mail account. Also, if you wish to receive a printed copy of our quarterly bulletin, please note this in the instructions field. By default, new members receieve our bulletin only via an e-mail link.
Membership categories include: Individual, Couple, Sponsor, or Patron. See the table below for the current fee schedule.

Each new member receives an Historical Points of Interest map when you come in to the center. Members are also e-mailed the Society Bulletin, which is published quarterly, and also receive discounts on photo, research and copying charges.
